Getting started

Confirm the installation

The main menu displays the EOR version and build identity. Version 0.7.0.105 should also appear in BepInEx\LogOutput.log. The log records class, item, localization, pet, sanctum, and Codex preparation as the mod becomes ready.

Create a party

EOR adds 40 base classes to character selection. Each class has its own attributes, starter weapon, base passives, and an exclusive runtime mechanic. Start with the class reference; the table links to a detailed section for every class.

Loadout selection also includes 20 custom traits, custom starter gear, and qualifying zero-cost items such as Ring of Reckless Might. Mastery variants are not initially free selections: meet the class requirement, then buy the variant in the Lore Store.

Configure the campaign

EOR adds selectable campaign mutators. They can improve rewards, change scarcity, expand companion play, or alter chaos pressure. Dungeon Free Roam is specifically intended for Dungeon Crawl; Explorer's Pace provides the broader low-chaos exploration option.

If you prefer EOR's classes and equipment without its expanded boards or shops, set EnableQuestBoardOverhaul or EnableMarketOverhaul to false before starting a new campaign.

Combat camera controls

The local camera assist is enabled by default and does not alter combat state:

  • F4: snap to overhead view while retaining free controls.
  • F5: toggle free combat camera.
  • F6: return to the normal game camera.
  • WASD or arrow keys: move.
  • Hold middle mouse: rotate.
  • Mouse wheel: zoom.
  • Hold Left Shift: move faster.

Multiplayer checklist

Every player should use the same EOR version, package contents, gameplay configuration, and campaign modifications. Do not assume the host's modification selections replace each client's local choices. Read Multiplayer before starting a shared run.

Learn in game

Open Mod Codex from the main menu to inspect installed classes, traits, item categories, pets, sanctums, enemies, modifiers, contracts, mutators, and unlocks. The Codex reflects runtime content and is useful for confirming that an installation loaded fully.
