Towns and progression

Markets

The Market Overhaul expands stock, stack quantities, affix chances, and the custom-item pool. Market generation is deterministic in multiplayer. Set EnableMarketOverhaul=false before starting a campaign to retain vanilla market generation while keeping other EOR systems.

Quest boards

The Quest Board Overhaul combines expanded regular quests with Legendary Contracts. It uses deterministic generation and host/client synchronization safeguards. Disable it before a new campaign if you want vanilla boards.

Town specialists

Single-player towns can expose four specialist services:

Specialist Cost Purpose
Pet Trainer 90 gold Trains a current pet through companion XP progression
Mercenary Captain 110 gold Advances a hired mercenary
Relic Broker 0 gold to open Offers a ten-item rare/relic stock
Sanctum Pilgrim 100 gold Offers a deterministic sanctum blessing, with a 30% grand chance

Pet Trainer, Mercenary Captain, and Sanctum Pilgrim are one-use offers; Relic Broker remains a market-style service. These custom specialist services are disabled in online multiplayer because earlier network-safe town work deliberately kept their state out of shared sessions.

Economy and exploration

  • Heroic Economy increases gold while strengthening enemies.
  • Low Supplies reduces healing stock while improving XP.
  • Explorer's Pace disables recurring chaos pressure and replenishes town quests while leaving adaptive world threats active.
  • Dungeon Free Roam provides the related no-chaos, replenishing-board behavior specifically for Dungeon Crawl.
  • World events are spaced so generated activities do not continuously overlap.

Progression systems

Class Mastery, persistent Revenge records, mercenary/pet advancement, sanctum devotion, equipment tiers, affixes, and higher-level contracts form separate progression tracks. Removing one optional content system does not disable the others.
