Troubleshooting
Mod does not load
Confirm that BepInEx\plugins\EnhancedOverhaulRemix.dll exists and inspect BepInEx\LogOutput.log. Mod-only installs require a working BepInEx 5.4.23.5 setup. If the log never mentions EOR 0.7.0.105, reinstall the correct archive at the game root.
Classes, traits, items, or icons are missing
This usually indicates a partial overwrite or mixed release. Reinstall every packaged file, including the EnhancedOverhaulRevamped data folder, localization, item definitions, icons, pets, and mercenaries. The in-game Codex should show 40 base classes plus Mastery entries and seven populated item categories.
Long first load or black screen
Allow the first content merge to finish. EOR logs timing for startup and custom-item phases. If adventure/map loading exceeds the configured threshold, the automatic diagnostic system preserves a long-load report; a frozen process can be recovered on the next launch.
Infinite campaign or dungeon loading
Do not repeatedly replace only the DLL. Verify the full archive, test a new uncustomized party, and submit the recovered automatic report after restart. Include the campaign, whether it was initial character creation, selected classes, loadout spending, DLC, and whether a retry succeeds.
Multiplayer desync or waiting on player
Match version, build signature, data files, configuration, DLC, and campaign modifications. Custom town specialists should not appear online. Collect reports from host and client because one side's log rarely explains both states.
Launcher appears stuck
Close FTK2 before install, verify, or uninstall. Select the downloaded release archive explicitly. If winhttp.dll or another managed file already exists, use Verify and inspect the launcher's log rather than terminating it mid-operation. Manual installation remains supported.
Antivirus warning
The launcher is a PyInstaller-packaged utility that reads archives, writes to the game folder, verifies hashes, backs up replaced files, opens the game, and performs a simple online version check. Heuristic scanners can flag that combination. Download only from the official Nexus page, compare the published hash when provided, and scan the file with multiple vendors. Do not disable security software merely because one engine reports a detection.
Reset configuration
Close the game, back up the EOR BepInEx config, then rename or remove that one config file so BepInEx regenerates defaults. Do not delete saves or the entire BepInEx folder unless performing a deliberate clean reinstall.
Logs and bug reports
- Main log:
BepInEx\LogOutput.log - Local EOR diagnostics: EOR's report folder under the BepInEx installation
- Manual report:
F8 - Forced report if the prompt fails:
Ctrl+F8orShift+F8
Reports are saved locally first. Depending on UploadMode, a privacy-sanitized network copy is sent asynchronously to the private EOR reporting backend. Upload failure never blocks gameplay and the local copy remains.
